Event: IGDA Game Jam 2015 “Film Fellowship” November 13. – 15.

IGDA Game Jam 2015 "Film Fellowship" is a 3-day hackathon event uniting films and games in a new way. We're partnering up with film producers to make various film materials available for you so you can use them as a source for your game prototype.

Event takes place in Tallinn, Estonia in wonderful Baltic Film and Media School rooms (Narva mnt 27, Tallinn)

OUR GOALS:
- Create a precedent of uniting films and games in a new way.
- Collaborate with skilled mentors and film gurus.
- Create fresh game concepts and marketing opportunities.

RULES:
- Films will be announced before the event (4-6 films)
- Each film gets a maximum on two developer teams working on prototypes (if more ideas are pitched, two biggest teams will be picked).
- At the event developers can use the photos, scripts, video material, music provided by the film producer and use these materials to create a playable game prototype.
- All prototypes must be new, materials or prototypes created prior to the event are not allowed. All prototypes must use material or inspiration from the film they picked.
- At the event you will have access to Apollo Music online platform to boost your prototype with amazing music and sound effects.
- Developers have 48 hours to come up with a playable prototype. Projects still in rough concept phase will not pass on to the evaluation.
- These prototypes are a creative exercise that can be used for marketing purposes for a limited amount of time. Parties involved can't make any financial profit from these prototypes. Any extra deals will be made between the developer and film producer separately from the event.
- Each Prototype created at the Event needs to be marked with information about both the Licensor and Licensee and the Event it was created at. The material must be presented with the reference to the joint copyright “This Prototype was created at IGDA Game Jam 2015 and owns jointly shared rights between the parties involved”.
- Buy purchasing tickets participant agrees to Licence Agreement with IGDA in order to protect the rights of IP owners, IGDA and creative works of participants. Please familiarize yourself with these terms beforehand: RULES & TERMS

WHAT TO BRING:
- You can stay overnight at the location, take a sleeping bag and a mattress with you.
- Catering will be provided by the organizer.
- Bring your laptop, headphones and everything else you will need to make games. Grab an extension cord with you just in case.

A young man Allar is travelling backcountry Estonia. Meeting ever more colorful individuals and encoutering absurd situations this becomes a crazy self-discovery trip in high summer Estonia. This film is still in production and you have the unique opportunity to get to see what it is about before anyone else.
